Origin Story

I was a Sari is a Mumbai-based social enterprise transforming pre-loved Indian saris and deadstock materials into bold, timeless stationery and accessories. By repurposing vibrant sari fabrics, we give new life to materials that would otherwise go to waste.

Artisan

Each postcard is handcrafted by female artisans in Mumbai, India. Our initiative has empowered around 650 artisans, providing fair wages and meaningful work while celebrating their craftsmanship.

Craftsmanship

Every piece is carefully made by hand, combining 100% recycled paper with colourful, upcycled sari fabric. The contrast overlock edging adds a unique finish to each card, making every set one-of-a-kind.

Shipping & Returns

I will be shipped to you within 24–48 hours of you placing the order. I will be delivered by DHL or FedEx, which typically takes 4–5 business days.

If you choose Eco Shipping, I will be shipped via Aramex and delivered in approximately 10–12 business days, using a slower, lower-impact shipping method.
