Wearing palazzo pants is about giving space to movement. In the I was a Sari collection, these ankle-length trousers are designed with wide legs that fall freely, creating a silhouette that feels light and unforced. A contrast hem subtly frames the bottom of the garment, adding definition without interrupting the fluidity of the shape. Upcycled sari fabrics bring texture, colour, and individuality to a style that is meant to be lived in.
Known for their wide legs and relaxed proportions, palazzo pants are trousers designed to drape rather than structure the body. Their generous cut allows air and movement, making them an easy alternative to more fitted styles. At I was a Sari, palazzo pants are crafted from repurposed sari textiles, giving this classic silhouette a distinctive, expressive character rooted in pattern and colour.
Comfort is built directly into the design of the palazzo pants. The wide-leg cut opens from the waist down, creating a balanced line that never feels restrictive. Falling at ankle length, the trousers maintain a light, contemporary feel, while the contrast hem adds a subtle visual anchor. The fit works naturally across different body types, offering ease without looking oversized.
Before becoming a finished garment, each pair of palazzo pants existed as a sari. These pre-loved fabrics are carefully selected and transformed by women artisans in Mumbai, extending their life and reducing textile waste. Small production runs and handcrafted processes ensure that every piece reflects an ethical, circular approach to fashion grounded in reuse and craftsmanship.
Adaptability is what makes palazzo pants a wardrobe staple. Ideal for everyday wear, travel, or warm-weather days, they can be styled simply with tops or paired with more structured pieces for contrast. The ankle-length cut keeps them practical, while the wide legs allow comfort throughout long days without sacrificing ease or presence.
Because each pair is made from a different sari, no two palazzo pants are ever the same. Variations in colour, print, and texture are part of the design language, not imperfections to be corrected. This circular philosophy places individuality at the centre, turning existing fabrics into trousers designed to be worn often and kept over time.

Between two sizes? Go by your chest measurement first for tops, or hips for bottoms, see the notes below.
Use a soft tape, wear light clothing, and keep the tape level all the way around.
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, level across the back. Keep it snug, not tight, and read the measurement where the tape meets.
Find your natural waistline, usually the narrowest point of your torso. Don't hold your stomach in, keep the tape level and comfortably snug.
Stand with feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat, straight and level front to back.
