Playful details meet thoughtful design in the heart bomber jacket, a cropped outerwear piece that stands out without trying too hard. In the I was a Sari collection, this bomber combines a contemporary, cropped silhouette with rich sari linings and decorative elements that add character. The result is a jacket that feels expressive, light-hearted, and carefully made.
The heart bomber jacket is a cropped bomber defined by twin front zips and embroidered heart motifs placed on the collars. This combination brings together structure and softness, blending a classic bomber shape with unexpected, decorative details. At I was a Sari, the jacket is crafted using repurposed sari fabrics, making each piece visually distinct inside and out.
Designed to sit shorter on the body, the heart bomber jacket offers a cropped fit that feels modern and easy to style. The twin zips allow flexibility in how the jacket is worn, while the relaxed cut through the body keeps it comfortable. Inside, the sari lining adds softness and contrast, making the jacket feel considered from every angle.
Every heart bomber jacket begins with a sari that already exists. These pre-loved textiles are carefully selected and transformed by women artisans in Mumbai, extending their lifespan and reducing waste. Embroidery and finishing details are added through small-scale, handcrafted processes, supporting an ethical approach to fashion rooted in reuse and craftsmanship.
The heart bomber jacket is designed to work across seasons and occasions. It can be layered over simple outfits for everyday wear or used as a statement piece to add colour and texture. The cropped length makes it easy to pair with high-waisted trousers, skirts, or dresses, while the playful embroidery adds personality to even the most minimal look.
Because each piece is made using different sari fabrics, no two heart bomber jackets are ever the same. Variations in lining, colour, and pattern are part of the design itself, reflecting a circular philosophy that values individuality over uniformity. Each jacket carries its own visual identity, designed to be worn often and kept over time.

Between two sizes? Go by your chest measurement first for tops, or hips for bottoms, see the notes below.
Use a soft tape, wear light clothing, and keep the tape level all the way around.
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, level across the back. Keep it snug, not tight, and read the measurement where the tape meets.
Find your natural waistline, usually the narrowest point of your torso. Don't hold your stomach in, keep the tape level and comfortably snug.
Stand with feet together and wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat, straight and level front to back.
