Our local team of women transform upcycled materials into conversation pieces fit for a meeting in Manhattan, a bash in Barcelona or a Balinese retreat.

Through Gucci Equilibrium, a platform to promote the brand’s sustainable and ethical goals, Gucci has supported I was a Sari in a number of ways, including extending its special embroidery training program to our female artisans.

Working with Gucci’s partner export houses, our artisans have been trained in traditional techniques, heralding a new premium line of I Was a Sari products.

Our latest collection was designed in Gucci’s studio in Rome, with their designers, as part of Gucci Changemakers volunteering program.
